Halloween Walk/Activities/Pumpkin Contest

Tuesday, October 31, 2023 (All day)

We are so excited for all the exciting events that are taking place at our school this year! Next on our agenda is Hallowe'en fun!

On Tuesday, October 31, 2023, the students at St. Leo School will celebrate Hallowe’en as a community with a variety of activities in the school.

We encourage everyone to dress up in their costume keeping in mind that costumes should be reflective of our Catholic faith.  An additional reminder that no weapons (knives, guns, swords, etc.), gore, derogatory themes or masks are permitted.

Students will begin their day by participating in our annual Halloween Community Walk, shortly after attendance during the first block.  Staff and students will be walking down Ashgrove to Ivanhoe, across Hemlock Court then up the field back to school.  We will end our walk by taking divisional pictures in the gymnasium.

During the second and third block, Madame Dubeau and Mr. Squeo’s classes will be hosting a Halloween dance in the gymnasium.  Each division will come to the gymnasium to participate in the dance.

We are also excited to announce that we are going to be having a pumpkin carving contest. Here’s what you need to know.

Each family can enter one Pumpkin.
We have 3 different categories. Scariest, Funniest and Most Creative.
Please bring your pumpkins to the school on Tuesday October 31st and place them out front at the designated category. Pumpkins MUST be taken home at the end of the day.
Please label your pumpkin with the following information: Family Name and Category

Halloween is a special day where students may wish to bring a special treat for themselves to have during their lunches.  If you wish to send in any treats, they must be peanut/nut free. If you have any additional questions, please feel free to ask your child’s classroom teacher.

We look forward to having a “FABOOLOUS” day.
